Kansas got it's name from the Kansa (Kaw) Indian Tribe . They were called the "People of the South Wind". And from this our club proudly takes it's name, South Wind Muzzleloaders, Inc. It is from trading furs with the French and the American trapper from the mid 1600's into the early 1800's that we pay homage by reliving this part of history. We are a family oriented, non-profit club organized exclusively for charitable, historical and educational purposes. We dedicate our time and efforts to "The Mountain Man". Our goal is:
Now that you know what we strive to do, come take a walk around our camp. Stop by our About South Wind, Camp News and Up-coming Events pages. Take a look at the photos of our camp and range. There's a map of where we're located, a flyer for information on our next event and photos of the last event that we sponsored or attended. Meet our current Club Officers and learn a little about how to talk the talk and walk the walk of a "Mountain Man". We've even included some great links to some other clubs and businesses that deal with our interests. Before you leave, be sure to sign our GUESTBOOK and let us know if you enjoyed your visit. And if your interested in joining our club, check out the "Membership Information" page. We would like to thank you for stopping by our camp. Until next time, "Keep yer powder dry and watch yer topknot".
