2ND Annual Chunk Gun Shoot

Come One, Come All to the 2ND Annual chunk gun shoot at South Wind Muzzleloaders, Inc. range located 1 mile northeast of Peru, Kansas.
The shootin’ starts at 9 AM and runs until 4 PM and will be held in the tradition started by Walnut Valley Muzzleloaders.
There will be three categories: men, women and youth and three classes: traditional, smooth bore and in-line. Each competes within itself. Traditional firearms can be any side lock, mule ear or under hammer with any metal sights (no scopes or lasers) and shooting patched round ball.
Cost is $10. per relay for as many relays as we have time for. Each relay will consist of six shots. 1st shot is to be a sighting or fouling shot, followed by five scoring shots. The two worst shots will be thrown out and the best three will stand for score. Targets will be provided, bring your own ground cloth and chunks.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st place only for each relay. Prize will be a 50/50 split pot for each relay. No one person can win more than 2 prizes. We’re tryin’ ta keep this friendly….
Cold sandwiches and beverages will be available at the range.
